Press release No. 1/March 2010
Munich ICT event postponed until autumn of 2011
Munich, March 18, 2010.
Messe München has postponed its ICT trade show until the autumn of 2011 and
will return to the market with a modified concept. The current format is being revised
in close cooperation with the industry and adapted to meet the market's
specific needs even better. The objective is to establish a platform at the high-tech
hub of Munich that brings the industry together in
Southern Germany again each autumn.
"The underlying principles behind discuss & discover's innovative concept are correct. And although we did not achieve what we set out to do in 2009, we will continue to pursue our original objectives", explains Norbert Bargmann, Deputy CEO of Messe München GmbH. The event|s various components are being examined and its concept further developed taking current market activity into account.
"The fact that Munich needs an ICT trade show is something that we hear time and again," concludes Bargmann. "That is why we are deliberately taking the time to establish a convincing format in close cooperation and intense talks with the industry."
